Since 2005, the Connecticut River Valley Inn has been home to Resident Artist and Chief Experience Officer, Patricia Brubaker, welcoming guests from around the world to the historic Connecticut River Valley and to the historic town of Glastonbury (incorporated in 1640!)  to learn, create, and relax!

2020 has introduced some exciting changes to our location which will now be focusing on blending Pat's two passsions ..... The Arts and Hospitality!

At our property you'll find an all inclusive setting of a sun-lit art studio, art filled lodging, and on-site meals in the beautiful Connecticut River Valley Region of Southern New England.

The Artist Getaway features 6 guest rooms with private baths, spacious modern rooms with ammenities such as fireplaces, air conditioning, beautiful bathrooms, balconies and the most delicious of foods served throughout your stay.

Workshops are fuly immersive and are hosted from March through December every year for 5 days and 4 nights. We hope to include workshops on everything from painting, absract art, block printing, intuitive painting and hopefully some fabric and fiber arts classes.

"Nothing but wonderful things to say about the CT River Valley Inn in Glastonbury. We found it while searching for a place to have a very intimate wedding in a lovely outdoor space. The inn had exactly what we wanted...beautiful grounds and landscaping, private, warm and helpful hosts, with a number of beautiful spots for photos inside the inn and out - just perfect"

"My wife and I got married here on January 22nd, utilizing the elopement package that came with a one night stay. Not only is this b&b beautiful, rooms overly warm and accommodating, but the service and details were unmatched. They made our wedding so stress free and enjoyable. Our room, the summer room, was beautiful and cozy. Our cake was decorative and delicious, the bridal bouquet full of calla lilies and orchids. I was so impressed with the attention to detail. I would highly recommend this place to anyone holding an event or just looking for a beautiful place to stay."

"We had the.most wonderful shower at this lovely place! . The Innkeeper could not have been more organized or efficient. We elected to have our food catered by a local caterer, but used the Inn's dishes, glasses, and linens.  We (22 ladies and girls) sat in the sunporch room at one long banquet table. The bride opened her gifts on a settee that was so appropriate facing the living room. Staff did the clean up, and we so enjoyed ourselves.  We helped ourselves to coffee, tea, and ice tea provided by the inn. Wonderful backyard that the girls, ages 7 to 11, enjoyed."

We are close to downtown Hartford, only 10 minutes,

but far enough away to feel like you are in a quaint town in the countryside.

And, indeed you are!

Glastonbury, being the second largest town in the Connecticut in terms of geographic size, abounds in small family fruit, vegetable, dairy and livestock farms, back country roads and hiking, biking and boating opportunities, yet has all the contemporary amenities such as day spas , golf courses, shopping and theater.

Our proximity and easy access to and from all the major highways (Rt 84, Rt 91 and Rt 2) makes this property the ideal location to take day trips throughout the state as well and a destination for business meetings and retreats, family reunions, weddings or any special celebration.
